Hong Kong 2015 Day 5: Mongkok, Jordan & Tsim Sha Tsui

DAY 5: 4 DEC 2015
Streets of Mongkok at night
It's our last day in Hong Kong.
Instead of visiting Causeway Bay as planned, we stayed put in Kowloon to
explore the sites which we have missed during our first day.

Breakfast today was at the highly raved Australia Dairy Company.

To be honest, I was a little skeptical about how good it was.
This place is not only famous for their food, but also their poor service standards.
We got ourselves somewhat mentally prepared, so the experience was not that bad after all.
The queues moved pretty quickly and the ordering was smooth because we knew what we wanted.
We each ordered the breakfast set (HK$32), which comprises of macaroni with slices of ham,
scrambled eggs toast and a cup of tea/coffee.

The moment I tried their scrambled eggs, I understood why this place is so popular.
I don't usually eat scrambled eggs, but if every scrambled eggs on Earth tasted like that,
I wouldn't mind eating it for breakfast every other day.
After our sumptuous brunch, we decided to take a walk to Jenny Bakery located in Tsim Sha Tsui.

When we arrived, there wasn't any queue at all and we got to the counter immediately!
There were instances where people queued for 2 hours just to get the cookies.
My goodness.
Anyway, there is a limit to the number of tins a person could purchase.
We bought 2 small and 2 big tins of 4 mixed flavours.
Each tin is actually quite heavy!
I lugged them around for 3 hours and it probably tired me out.

Since we were at Tsim Sha Tsui, we decided to visit Tsim Sha Tsui Promenade.
It was a nice walk down the promenade as it was really cooling.
View of Hong Kong Island
The avenue of stars was under construction, so we paid a visit to the mini version,
Garden of Stars, which was 10 minutes walk away from the promenade.

We decided to return to our apartment to deposit our shopping bags first before visiting
Fa Yuen Street Market and Ladies Market.
Goldfish market near Fa Yuen Street
Both markets are relatively different.
Fa Yuen Street Market has different sections: pets, clothing and flowers.
You may actually find clothing at affordable prices as some of the shops do have opening sales.
Ladies Market might be more suitable for you if you wish to buy cute souvenirs home.

And that marks the end of our trip to Hong Kong!
Hong Kong is a nice place for a short trip, but the high expenses might be a turnoff.
I guess I will not be returning to Hong Kong unless I miss Disneyland again!
