Hong Kong 2015 Day 4: Disneyland
DAY 4: 3 DEC 2015
Disneyland time!
I still remembered the time when I first stepped into a Disneyland when I was 14.
Ten years down the road, I am here again reliving the same memories I had.
As the park opens at 10.30am, we headed to Kam Wah cafe for breakfast!
金華冰廳 Kam Wah Cafe
太子弼街47號地下
G/F, 47 Bute Street, Prince Edward
Operating hours: 0630 - 2330
Mongkok MTR, exit B3
Kam Wah is famous for their pineapple bun (polo bun) and there are several variations to it to!
But we tried their signature polo bun with a slab of butter (HK$8).
The polo bun was really good and just the right amount of sweetness for me.
As we were dining in, there is a minimum order of 1 drink per person as well.
I ordered a cup of hot milk tea as the weather turned chilly today.
Not too bad, but nothing fantastic.
Thereafter, we headed for the train station to catch a train to Disneyland.
To get to Disneyland, you will need to take a train to Sunny Bay
and then take the Disneyland Resort line.
Prior to embarking on this trip, we purchased our disneyland tickets from Klook.
The usual price for an adult ticket is HK$539 (~S$98).
Through Klook, we only paid S$81 for each ticket!
And the process was really simple as well.
All we had to do is make our way to the auto magic counter on the right side of the entrance,
scan the QR code on the voucher (either printed or through the app) and receive our tickets instantly.
So essentially, we skipped the long lines and headed straight to the entrance!
On a whole, the rides were not too bad.

Sleeping Beauty castle |
Compared to my first visit in 2005, the park definitely expanded a lot.
But it still has a long way to be on par with Walt Disney World in Orlando.
Christmas vibes with goofy and pluto |
The many adventures of winnie the pooh |
Toy Story Parachute Drop |
Even if we skipped the kiddy rides, there were still plenty of rides for us to take.
My favourite is the parachute drop which surprisingly gave us the thrill of free fall.
Apart from the rides, we made sure we watched the shows and parades available that day.
The Festival of the Lion King was as spectacular as the one in Animal Kingdom, Orlando.
The parades were good as well, but I preferred the Flights of Fantasy one as they
had more live mascots compared to the night parade.

Disney Paint the Night Parade |
We settled for a late lunch at the Royal Banquet Hall in Fantasyland.
The prices are usually at least HK$115 and that could get you a main and a drink.
There are snacks cart all over Disneyland as well.
One thing that I must have in Disneyland is the Mickey ice cream!
This time round, they sell the Minnie ice cream too, which is actually strawberry sorbet.

So, if you can, please stay and watch the fireworks!
