The way I celebrated thanksgiving Part II: Atlanta, GA

THANKSGIVING: 18 NOV - 26 NOV 2012
I have no idea why we decided to visit Atlanta.
Probably brainwashed by my friend since her boyfriend is exchanging at Georgia Tech.
Oh well!
Anyways, downtown Atlanta had three main attractions to visit:
World of Coca-cola
Georgia Aquarium
CNN centre

On our first day, we made a trip to the World of Coca-cola!
Haven't heard of Coca-cola?
You must be ancient.
Inside the Coca-cola studio

A collection of old Coca-cola posters
The evolution of Coca-cola dispensers
Collectors' pins

After watching the 4D movie and visiting the brewery and exhibits, we finally came to the section of the tour with much anticipation. THE TASTING ROOM.

European drinks under the Coca-cola company

There were over 60 different drinks available for tasting under the Coca-cola company, from Asia to Europe. We were in heaven the moment we stepped into the room. With just a cup, we skipped from dispenser to dispenser, tasting one drink after another. Some of the drinks tasted really bad though. I clearly remembered a drink called Beverly under the Italy section which tasted really horrible! Even a kid uttered a 'yuck' when she had a sip of that beverage! In any case, majority of the drinks tasted good. In addition, we got to taste the Holiday special drink, the gingerbread coke! It tasted totally like gingerbread, but the mix between coke and gingerbread is just right, making it taste not as artificial as cherry coke. Haha! And having said that, the tasting room concluded our tour at the Coca-cola factory.

That same night, we visited the Underground Atlanta. I have no idea why it was listed so high up on the tripadvisor ratings. First of all, there wasn't any interesting shops or eateries. The undergound mall did not look attractive as well. And, there were no tourists around...smart of them since the mall looked a little shady...
Enough said!

The next day, we visited the second must-visit attraction in Atlanta - Georgia Aquarium. Georgia Aquarium is said to be the largest aquarium in the world. It houses a large variety of aquatic species and has many interactive corners for visitors to get up close with the animals.

Red lionfish

I officially hate frogs. Period.

Ahh! The Asian sea otter is so cute!

Hello there little penguin!

Stingray

Whale sharks

The ticket to this aquarium costs a lot. It was a major heart pain for the four of us. I guess it is due to the fact that there were dolphin shows and a 4D movie for us to enjoy. I can't bring myself to say that the visit was worthwhile, but I really enjoyed the dolphin show! (: What's done is done!

And that concludes my trip to Atlanta.
The very same night, we took a nine hour bus ride to Orlando, where the ultimate fun began!

Shall get back to studying!
