Indo - Bkk 2015 Day 4: Bali, Indonesia

DAY 4: 18 MAY 2015
Our plan for the day was to go out for snorkeling as recommended by our driver last night.
There are many locations for snorkeling all around Bali, but the nearest and nicest
area is the Blue Lagoon.
We booked him for half a day and paid Rp350,000 for his services.
The ride took about an hour and 45 minutes from Kuta and we arrived at the
snorkeling spot at 10.45am.
There was no time limit given for snorkeling but people usually spend about 1.5 hours in the
waters as it gets tiring after some time.
Each person paid Rp250,000 to snorkel, and the equipment will be provided.
All you need is your swimwear, change of clothes and a towel to dry yourself after the trip.
Boat ride to the Blue Lagoon
There were two snorkeling sites: Blue Lagoon and Tanjung Benoa.
Our first stop was actually Tanjung Benoa which was a 10 minutes ride from the beach.
We put on our life jacket, goggles and flippers and off we went into the waters.
As it was my first time snorkeling, I was not used to the goggles and the breathing tube.
Although I managed to get a hang of it thereafter, I decide to do away with the tube as
seawater kept entering it!
Corals
Pretty electric blue fishes
Trumpet fish
The snorkeling sites were only between 3 - 5 metres deep but you could see lots
of corals and fishes swimming around!
It was a pleasant first-time experience and I really enjoyed snorkeling!
I got a little seasick at the end but I recovered within 10 minutes (:

After snorkeling, our driver brought us to a place he frequent for meals in Denpasar: Buka Baju.
This place sells cheese Bakso and Michelle has been yearning it ever since he mentioned
it during the drive to our hotel yesterday.
Bakso Campur (assorted Bakso)
The cheese Bakso was really good!
Each bowl consists of 7 pieces of different flavoured bakso and costs only Rp16,000.
View of the pool in Asana
After lunch, we headed back to our hotel for a swim before going souvenir shopping.
Jl. Legian had lots of souvenir shops for you to explore.
If you would like to get some singlets or bali tees back, poppies lane 1 would be a good
option as well!

So, our day quickly came to an end as the girls had to catch a flight back to Singapore.
Amanda and I decided to treat ourselves to another foot massage session,
but this time at Spa by Sole which is under the same company as Smart Spa.
Both of us preferred Spa by Sole as it was slightly cheaper but better in terms of strength!

That's the end of our day 4!
